At 1219 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Speed to Hyundai Motors Of Alabama.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Tallassee, Milstead,
Pike Road, Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville, Eclectic, Shorter, Martin
Dam, Hyundai Motors Of Alabama, Santuck, Auburn University In

Strong winds associated with approaching thunderstorms will produce
wind gusts greater than or equal to 25 knots, mainly from the
west.

Expect thunderstorms with cloud to ground lightning to move across
the Montgomery Regional Airport /MGM/ and its vicinity by 12pm and
continue through 130pm.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by continued rounds of showers and
thunderstorms with heavy rainfall.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers,
Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale,
Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry,
Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter,
Talladega, Tallapoosa and Tuscaloosa.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Urban areas will be most susceptible to flooding through the
overnight hours.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Saturated soil conditions are present following multiple
rounds of heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours. Rapid runoff
is expected with widespread heavy rainfall that will move
across Central Alabama through late tonight.
