Issued: 2:45 AM Jul. 7, 2025 – National Weather Service
...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Brown, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch,
Menard, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop
before sunrise Monday morning across the Hill Country and
then spread into the Heartland, Concho Valley, and Northern
Edwards Plateau during the day. Very heavy rainfall will be
possible under these downpours, with totals of 1 to 3 inches
possible in many locations. A few areas may see totals in
excess of 5 inches.

With soils already saturated, this rain will quickly run off
into creeks and streams and allow flash flooding to develop
very quickly.
