* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, east to northeast winds 15
to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. For the Gale Warning, northeast
winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to around 40 kt and seas 5 to 8
ft expected.

* WHERE...Galveston Bay and Coastal waters from High Island to
Freeport TX out 20 NM.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 7 PM CDT Friday.
For the Gale Warning, from 7 PM Friday to 1 PM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...East winds near 20 knots, gusting over 25
knots tonight. Winds become northeast on Friday, increasing
further by afternoon. Gusts to gale force are possible as early
as Friday afternoon, especially near thunderstorms. Frequent
gale force gusts expected by Friday evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
