Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Wind

DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are likely in the eastern ranges. Wind gusts may reach 110 km/h from late Thursday evening in exposed alpine areas above 1200 metres. Winds are expected to ease by Friday evening. Locations which may be affected include Falls Creek, Mt Baw Baw, Mt Hotham, Mt Buller and Omeo. 102 km/h wind gust recorded at Mt Buller at 3:44 pm.
Sheep Graziers Warning

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and northwesterly winds are expected during Thursday and Friday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the North Central, North East, South West, Central and West and South Gippsland forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
