Freeze Warning
Issued: 2:50 PM MDT Apr. 28, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Freeze warning in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am MDT
Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
freeze warning, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am
MDT Saturday. The freeze watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations include... Montrose, Olathe, Delta, Hotchkiss and
Paonia.

* Temperatures... widespread low temperatures from 25 to 30 degrees
will occur during the early morning hours on Saturday.

* Impacts... budding vegetation may be negatively impacted as
temperatures drop below critical thresholds. Small, exposed
water lines, such as those associated with swamp coolers,
could freeze up.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
