... Hot conditions to persist through the weekend...

An expanding and strong upper level ridge of high pressure will
bring hot temperatures to the region on Friday and through early
next week. High temperatures over much of southeast Texas will
reach 100 degrees or higher through the weekend. Factoring in the
humidity will make it feel even warmer. Heat index values are
expected to reach or exceed 108 degrees on Friday and could
possibly reach or exceed 110 degrees on Saturday. A heat advisory
may be required on Friday and the advisory will likely be required
through the weekend.
