... The Flood Warning extended until Thursday evening... the Flood
Warning continues for
the Little River at Horatio.
* From Sunday afternoon to Thursday evening... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Saturday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 29.0 feet by Monday evening. The river
will fall below flood stage by Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 29.0 feet... the boat ramp Recreation Area at Wilton,
Arkansas downstream from Horatio is flooded and closed. Also The
Golf Course west of haratio, Arkansas suffers from overflow.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Little River near Idabel.
* From Sunday afternoon to Thursday morning... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 8:30 am Saturday the stage was 14.4 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow early afternoon and
continue to rise to near 32.2 feet by Monday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Wednesday early afternoon.
* Impact... at 32.0 feet... minor to moderate flooding with hundreds of
acres of lowland inundated. Farmers and ranchers must move cattle
and farm machinery to higher ground until the high water ends.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma,
including the following areas, in southwest Arkansas,
Hempstead, Howard, Little River, Nevada, and Sevier. In
southeast Oklahoma, McCurtain.

* Through Sunday morning.

* Showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase across
southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas this afternoon along
and ahead of a slow moving cold front. Locally heavy rainfall
will be possible, with widespread rainfall totals of 2 to 4
inches, with isolated higher amounts in excess of 5 inches,
possible across the watch area later this afternoon through
tonight.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
