... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 915 PM EDT for
northeastern Georgetown... southwestern Horry and south central Marion
counties...

At 707 PM EDT, Doppler radar continued to indicate showers and a few
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
three and five inches of rain have already fallen in the is area.
If not already occurring flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Socastee, Dongola, Bucksville, Yauhannah and Bucksport.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

Tuesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a beach
hazards statement... which is in effect from Tuesday morning through
Tuesday evening.

Southerly winds will produce a strong south to north longshore
current on Tuesday along the beaches in Pender... New
Hanover... Horry... and Georgetown counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as rip
currents, longshore currents, and other hazards create life-
threatening conditions in the surf zone. Caution should be used when
in or near the water.
