Central Hancock counties...

At 203 PM EDT... a strong thunderstorm was located near Ellsworth...
moving northeast at 5 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Ellsworth... Penobscot township... Surry... and Penobscot.

This includes US Highway 1 between Ellsworth and Hancock... and
between Cherryfield and Columbia Falls.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
