Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:41 PM CST Jan. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect from 8 PM this evening to 10 am
CST Friday...

The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect from 8 PM this evening to 10 am CST
Friday.

* Visibility... will decrease through the evening hours and bottom
out later tonight into early Friday morning around or less than
one quarter mile.

* Impacts... expect deteriorating visibilities. Drivers are
encouraged to slow down and allow extra time to reach
destinations.

* Uncertainty... fog should be rather widespread by later tonight,
but there is uncertainty regarding how widespread the most dense
fog of one quarter mile or less will become.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
