Watches & Warnings

Blizzard Watch
Issued: 4:27 AM CST Feb. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard watch now in effect from this evening through late
Friday night...

* timing... snow will develop after 8pm tonight, with increasing
winds on Friday.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches are possible.

* Winds/visibility... northeast to northwest 20 to 30 mph with
gusts to 40 mph resulting in considerable blowing snow and
possible whiteout conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and/or
blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.
This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very
dangerous.
