... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday morning through
Wednesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a Winter Storm
Watch... which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Wednesday
morning.

* Locations... North Woods, portions of the central Highland,
Central Aroostook and the St. John valley.

* Hazard types... snow, sleet and freezing rain

* accumulations... snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches.

* Ice accumulations... around a tenth of an inch.

* Snow accumulations... 5 to 9 inches.

* Timing... precipitation will begin Tuesday morning and continue
into Wednesday morning.

* Impacts... snow and ice accumulations will make many roads
treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on
tree limbs and power lines could produce widespread outages.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... rising into the upper 20s on Tuesday.
