Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:23 AM CST Jan. 16, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 9 am CST this
morning...

* visibility... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Timing... through 9 am CST

* impacts... drivers should be prepared for rapidly reduced
visibilities and allow some extra time to reach destinations.
Use low beam headlights in dense fog. High beams tend to
create more glare and reduce the visibility even more.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
