Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:14 PM CST Jan. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect from 6 PM this evening to 10 am
CST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 10 am
CST Saturday.

* Timing... through mid-morning Saturday. Areas near and east of
the Mississippi River may not see widespread dense fog until
after 8 PM. Overnight into Saturday morning the dense fog is
expected to lift and visibilities improve from south to north.

* Visibility... less than 1/4 mile at times.

* Impacts... driving will be hazardous due to severely reduced
visibility at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
