... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Tuesday to
4 am EST Wednesday...

* locations... Jefferson and Lewis counties.

* Timing... from early Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night.

* Hazards... freezing rain and sleet.

* Accumulations... sleet accumulating less than half an inch. Ice
accumulating from up to a tenth of an inch for most areas...
to a quarter of an inch through the Saint Lawrence valley.

* Winds... southeast 10 to 20 mph.

* Visibilities... less than two miles in precipitation.

* Temperatures... highs in the mid 30s Tuesday. Lows in the lower
30s Tuesday night.

* Impacts... sleet and freezing rain will bring very slippery
conditions on untreated roads and sidewalks.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory is normally issued for a variety of
winter weather conditions such as light snow... blowing snow...
sleet... freezing rain and wind chills. While the weather will be
significant... the word advisory implies that severe winter
weather is not anticipated.
