Special Statement
Issued: 5:43 AM CST Dec. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... A little light snow and slushy roads into the morning commute...

A band of light snow... mixed with some drizzle or freezing
drizzle... continued to move slowly east across the area early
this morning. By 7 am the leading edge of the precipitation is
expected to be near a Medford... Viroqua and Prairie Du Chien
Wisconsin line.

Most snow amounts are expected to be 1/2 inch or less. However...
with temperatures hovering near or just above 32... some slushy
accumulations are possible on roads... especially bridge decks.
The greater threat of slush covered roads is west and north of La
Crosse where the light snow has been more persistent.

If traveling or headed out to work early this morning... be alert
for slippery spots and stretches on untreated roads. Slow down and
allow some extra time to safely reach your destination.
