The National Weather Service in League City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northwestern Chambers County in southeastern Texas...
east central Harris County in southeastern Texas...

* until 915 PM CDT.

* At 335 PM CDT, the public reported water up to the bumpers of
vehicles at the Houston Methodist San Jacinto hospital in Baytown.
Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is
already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Baytown, Deer Park, Beach City, Highlands, Mont Belvieu, Old
River-Winfree, Cove, morgan's point and San Jacinto State Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

south central Liberty County in southeastern Texas...
east central Harris County in southeastern Texas...

* until 600 PM CDT.

* At 254 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two and a half inches
of rain have already fallen in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
northwestern Pasadena, Baytown, Deer Park, Beach City, Highlands,
Channelview, Cloverleaf, Barrett, Mont Belvieu, Old River-Winfree,
Cove, Houston Ship Channel and San Jacinto State Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
