Special Statement
Issued: 12:29 AM EDT Oct. 1, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Areas of dense fog developing across sections of central North
Carolina...

A moist low level air mass coupled with temperatures lowering into
the 60s will allow areas of fog to develop overnight, especially
north of Highway 64 including The Triad, the Triangle, and the
Rocky Mount Wilson area. The fog will be thick enough to reduce
the visibility to less than a half mile in some locations.

When traveling through foggy areas... slow down and leaving plenty
of stopping distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.

If the dense fog becomes widespread, a dense fog advisory will be
necessary.
