Dense Fog Advisory

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 1 am EST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 1 am EST Saturday.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Timing... dense fog will be present through around midnight until
a cold front moves through and dries the air out a bit. Until
then expect low visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

... Areas of dense fog through this evening...

The combination of warmer, more moist air moving into the region
has allowed for the formation of dense fog in a few areas. The
dense fog may continue to develop this evening before a cold front
moves in from the west and dries it up. Until then, visibilities
will be changeable, with some areas dropping down to a quarter
mile or less. Motorists are urged to use caution and to use low
beam headlights when in dense fog.
