... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 3 am to noon MDT
Friday...

The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow... which is in effect from 3 am
to noon MDT Friday.

* Timing... rain will mix with then change to snow after 3 am MDT
Friday. Snow will combine with strong winds to create blowing
snow through late Friday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches... with highest amounts over
western parts of the advised counties.

* Winds/visibility... north 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
Visibility less than one mile at times.

* Impacts... slick roadways due to slushy snow accumulations, and
brief whiteout conditions due to snow and blowing snow. This
will make travel hazardous.

* Temperatures... near freezing around sunrise, warming to the
upper 30s by late morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use extra caution
while driving.

... High Wind Warning remains in effect from 3 am to 6 PM MDT
Friday...

* peak winds... north winds gusting up to 65 mph are possible
tomorrow.

* Timing/duration... winds will redevelop after midnight tonight
through Friday afternoon.

* Other impacts... locations that receive less precipitation may
see reduced visibility in blowing dust.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means strong winds are either occurring or
imminent which could lead to property damage... reduced visibility
in blowing dust... and loss of vehicle control. A High Wind
Warning is issued for sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or
gusts of 58 mph or more.
