The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a
Gale Warning... which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 7 PM
CDT Friday. The gale watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds: south 20 to 30 knots with gusts to 40 knots tonight.
Southwest winds 15 to 25 knots with gusts to 30 knots Friday
morning. Winds then veering to west and then northwest late
Friday morning into Friday afternoon, increasing to 25 to 35
knots with gusts to 40 knots.

* Significant waves: 4 to 8 feet rising to 8 to 14 feet
Thursday night, slowly subsiding to 5 to 8 feet on Friday.

* Occasional waves... highest to 18 ft later Thursday night.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occuring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
