Alerts: ------- warnings: --------- 1. Very rough seas with wave heights in excess of 4.0m is expected between Cape St. Francis and port Alfred, on Wednesday, spreading eastwards, reaching east London overnight, while subsiding from the west.

Watches: -------- 1. Moderate to poor visibility in fog patches is expected from tonight into Wednesday morning in places between Cunene River and Cape Point.

Cunene River to Walvis Bay: wind : S to se 10 to 20, but SW 10 to 15 at times. Vis : good becoming moderate to poor in fog patches at times.

Walvis Bay to Orange River: wind : S to se 10 to 20, but W to SW 10 to 15 at times. Vis : good becoming moderate to poor in fog patches at times.

Orange River to cape agulhas: wind : NW 10 to 20, reaching 25 south of Cape Point, becoming variable 05 to 10 by the second half of the period. Vis : good but poor in fog patches north of Cape Point at times. Sea state: 2.0 to 3.5m, mainly SW swell.

Cape Agulhas to east london: wind : W to NW 20 to 30, becoming SW 15 to 25 by the second half of the period. Vis : good. Sea state: 2.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 6.0m between Cape St. Francis and port Alfred, reaching east London by the second half of the period, mainly SW swell.

East London to Maputo: wind : N to NW 15 to 25, becoming S to SW 10 to 20 from the south by the end of the period, spreading northwards. Vis : good. Sea state: 2.0 to 2.5m in the south by the end of the period, SSW swell.

Mozambique channel: wind : S to se 10 to 20 but N to NW 10 to 20 in the extreme South-West. Vis : moderate in showers and rain in places.
