The Threat For Tornadoes, Large Hail And Damaging Winds Is Growing
Severe weather season starts to ramp up in March, and Mother Nature is responding to the call with a multi-day severe weather threat for the Central U.S. this week, including a potentially significant threat on Friday. Tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds are all possible from the High Plains into the Midwest. Cities from Dallas to Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Kansas City and even Chicago will face the threat of severe weather on at least one of the next few days. Flooding is possible as well, especially where heavy rain falls for multiple days over drought-ridden regions.
