The temperature roller coaster is at it again with a big warmup on the way for much of the country. Dozens of records will be in jeopardy with the Plains seeing highs soar into the 60s and 70s Thursday and Friday. A cold front will knock temperatures back down to reality this weekend across the Plains and Midwest as the warmth continues across the Deep South and Southeast into next week. Unfortunately, the Northeast will stay seasonably cool with temperatures at or just below average into the weekend.
