It's been a siege of severe weather this week. Another rash of storms is firing up in some of the same areas hit earlier. Our latest forecast shows where tornadoes, hail and flooding rain could happen again.

A devastating tornado tore through the hillsides of Rochester, Minnesota, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Video footage captured at 1:05 PM shows multiple homes with roofs completely ripped off, partial second levels destroyed, and countless trees snapped like toothpicks across residential neighborhoods. The twister carved a destructive path through Rochester's communities, scattering debris across yards and streets as it moved through the area. Residents are now assessing the extensive damage to homes and properties throughout the affected hillside neighborhoods. Emergency crews are on scene surveying the destruction and checking on residents in the tornado's path.

It’s going to be a tense weekend for thousands of people in Northern Michigan, heavy rain and rising rivers have already washed out roads, crumbled bridges and pushed into neighborhoods and homes. All eyes are on dams in Cheboygan, Newaygo county. With more severe storms expected across the Great Lakes this weekend, some homes have been evacuated, and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has declared a state of emergency. Here's the latest.

Cameras were rolling as a tornado spun up and struck areas near Rochester, Minnesota, live on The Weather Channel on Friday afternoon. The twister didn’t appear to be actively causing any significant damage at the time, but it was just the first confirmed tornado in a large-scale threat. Tornado sirens woke up people in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as severe storms and a now confirmed EF1 twister raked across the city early Wednesday. Massive trees crashed to the ground across the city. Roommates in one house say they’re feeling pretty lucky after a tree smashed into their roof. Two Ann Arbor ice arenas were also damaged by the powerful winds. See the aftermath here.
