A nice picture, but it is, in my opinion, a desecration of nature to paint the stones.

I wonder if the rocks started to fracture after the painting. I have seen that happen to a large granite rock elsewhere.

Quite the handle you have there. I agree to some extent but this area had many mines near so I'd imagine the artist was somewhat inured to desecration.
