Very nicely done. Thx for including the EXIF, I'm always curious about the exposure time of these.

Thank you for all the comments. To add a little more info - this photo was taken roughly 20 miles SSW of the launch pad. The reflection in the water looks a little "fiery" because it's also catching the reflection of the plume (at least, thats the best reason I can come up with).

Thanks again :-)

WOW! What a phenomenal capture. Seeing the trajectory in such a perfect arc is spectacular and breathtaking. The reflection in the small body of water really makes the photo. Perfect, just perfect.

congrats on the Approver's Choice (AC).

As for the "fiery" - did you have some wind going? That would distort the reflection very easily.

Terrific shot! Somehow, maybe the prevalent blues, the scene looks like winter to me. I caught myself looking for snow on the roofs of the houses - duh...

Thanks again for all of the comments.

@Rotty3 - there was a little breeze but you can see from the house reflection that there really wasn't much wind. It was still a contributor though. Thanks :-)

The photo has fallen out of the top dozen so I'm guessing it'll get less traffic now. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments - it makes photography even more fun when others let you know that they like what you're doing too.

And a 9.9 rating with 100+ votes. I'm guessing that's good :-)

Thanks again to everybody.

I was wondering what caused the straight edge at the left side of the reflection in the water ? Love the shot.

thanks,
Nate
