I was probably at about 300' at this point. The hawks are always very curious about the new big red bird in the neighborhood... this one came in about 10 feet away from it and we flew in a lazy circle together. I was clicking the shutter like mad but unfortunately never caught him in my field of view.

What is your estimate of the altitude at which your remote-control drone is flying?

About WeatherDrone

We live in Western Montana and have a passion for photography from a different perspective as well as the technical challenge of building RC planes and other unmanned aircraft capable of capture unique images as well as other data. The word "drone" has gotten a bad rap as of late, and we'd like to turn that around... our WeatherDrone is a useful and friendly tool to help look at weather and environmental conditions from a bird's eye view.
