My husband and I, along with our four kids in college and beyond live in western Washington, but we like to venture further afield when time permits. We have enjoyed photography wherever we have gone and hope to add a little new perspective to any who may stop by to enjoy a bit of our journeys. We appreciate your interest and comments! Weather is also a passion of mine, so please drop by my blog for my musings about our weather here in the Puget Sound region!
Harmony Borax Works

Caption: A sample of the wagons pulled by "twenty mule teams" hauling up to 36 tons of borax and supplies out of Death Valley. Chinese laborers were used to mine the borax, which thankfully was not workable in high heat (the borax, that is), so they did not work in the worst of the summer heat.
