These used to be common in NW Oregon when I was a kid. Yeah, it was that long ago. This photo is the first pheasant I've seen in, literally, ages. Thanks for reminding me how gorgeous these birds are!

About Cptkirk

Cptkirk

My camera packing sons and I are Kansas transplants from the Rockies!(My special son Michael - handle "utjazzfan", and Shane (Mr. Lightning)- handle "idzrvit" carry our cameras everywhere we go and have been photographing the outdoors and wildlife for over 20 years. I have drawers full of photos, but have "come of age" with digital. I now shoot anything I want without fear of a wasted shot. The result is some terrific photos I may not have taken with my 35mm! Sharing our photos with our friends at "wunderground" is a real plus!
