Rulison, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Some of the mountains, instead of looking like one massive unit, look as if they were constructed piece by piece. This one looks like a pile of triangular shaped pieces, in various colors and sizes, and I just love the effect! I like the snow clinging to the side of the rockface behind it, too, and the clouds were still hanging low here. I believe this is close to Rulison. I know..I should make notes.:-)

Thanks, Heidrun! I decided to take some pictures
of a few things I hadn't put up here before.
Good thing I didn't wait another day! They had
the highway closed for a while from Georgetown
to the Eisenhower tunnel (the pass through the
Continental Divide) because of multiple accidents
and they already have about 6 inches of snow there,
as well. I knew I had a short weather window to
make the drive and I times it just right! Whew!

Despite the clouds and not so nice weather, you had a great drive and fun ( I imagine!) in taking all these great weather shots !
Thank you for sharing your drive back to Denver !
