Great photo! You really had a great trip, didn't you. I love Yorktown! There is this neat Yorktown hotel there called the Duke of York Motel right across the street from the water and a fabulous restaurant not far across the way (Restaurant was on a different trip there). I forget what it is called. I spent a week at the motel while attending a workshop for VA teachers over in Jamestown and Yorktown Encampment and one more area. We were in class from sun up until sundown and only got back to hotel late night. We trained and learned to be interpreters between the ships, the Indian village, the fort and the Yorktown encampment and even spent several afternoons in authentic costume as interpreters and had an open invitation to come back and volunteer. I even have a photo in costume somewhere. Thank you for sharing your great photos!

About sillygal

Were I called on to define, very briefly, the term Art, I should call it 'the reproduction of what the Senses perceive in Nature through the veil of the soul.' The mere imitation, however accurate, of what is in Nature, entitles no man to the sacred name of 'Artist.'Edgar Allan Poe..................... I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to comment and vote on my photos.
