Thank you all for the comments! It was quite the amazing system that moved through the area. I am just glad I decided to charge my camera battery earlier that morning.

Thanks CenTexWeatherGal for the name of these clouds. I had no idea what to call them. They do very much look like the roiling seas.

Yes, they do look like Asperatus clouds. I've seen these over Lake Erie on several occasions. Great series of weather photos! Kudos to you!
