Budapest, Hungary

Caption: Budapest Rákoskeresztúr 2010/10/23 17:07 CEST. A Sowiet-henchman Communist regime ruled between 1945-1956. It imprisoned, brought in conceptional suit and condemned, executed numerous participants of the evolving national reacting force. The executed citizens were intered in the 298th parcel of "Új Köztemető ('The new common burial- ground') situated in seventeenth district of the capital city. After the Sowiet invasion, in November, during the retaliations and repression of the Hungarian Revolution and War for Independence of 1956, about 13.000 people were imprisoned. Some hundred victims were buried in parcel 301 of the named cemetery, in secret, in an insult-to-theirs-memory-manner. About twenty years before the parcels were restructured, the cadavers exhumed. A place of national piety dedicated to the victims of the repression was formed. In 2003 a gray granite block was erected in parcel 301, too, and were graved on it names of twenty-three of all martyrs who were executed or died in prisons in Transylvania after 1956.

Outside of Hungary reprisals took place in the greatest degree in Romania.
The head of Communist party from there utilized the revolution for intimidation of
Hungarian community from Transylvania. Show-trials, imprisonments and execution of intellectuals,
workers, what is more children occured because of theirs pronounced compassion,
sympathy towards the revolutionists from Hungary or because they started a revolutionary movement.
The power saw and selected the victims with
sociological preciseness (which were the birth places and communities from where they
were taken; religion; profession; age). Near the boundary two hundred people were arrested
and ten of them executed after the trial of Roman Catholic parish priest Aladar Szoboszlai; and two men were
martyrized in trial of Reformed pastor Kalman Sass. Lawsuit contra Dr. Istvan Dobai from
Kolozsvar, who desired to send a Memorandum to the Uited Nations regarding the
encroachments on rights of Hungarians from Romania; lawsuit contra the group led by Pal Fodor in Csikszereda, Seclerland.
Yes, names of twenty-three martyrs from Transylvania were graved here. But the final death
toll was of larger scale. And the members of families of the named martyrs nor today know where
rest their loved ones in Transylvania, or Romania.

I return rarely, only when I have something to say about the matter under discussion, and also when I have a great time enjoying myself producing something worthwhile. Thank you for your friendly visit. Goodbye!.In period November 2007 - July 2012 one million four hundred thirty-three thousand visitors were counted here.New start: 13 September 2014.
