Face of a Killer

Uploaded by: ChrisAnthemum

Westfield, NC (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Closeup of the spider in the other shot. I was very startled to see what looks like a face on the underside. It's only the spider's mouth parts, but looks like Charlotte on her web. None of the other photos showed it this clearly. I did not manipulate the photo in any way, just adjusted saturation and brightness/contrast as usual.

Thanks, Peter! It would be interesting to know how many bugs a mature spider has eaten before becoming this large.

Thanks, Dianne, I really dropped my teeth for a minute! Even my husband thought I had added the face.

Wow Kathy! Definitely looks like a theatre face. Maybe it was headed to a play.
