Jekyll Island, GA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: A bit of fog on the coast with the sun coming up... This is a forest grove next to the beach at Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, Georgia...

Image Description: "Inspiration" by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan... A beautiful forest of gnarled oak trees lines the coast of Jekyll Island in south Georgia. This pretty grove of trees is next to the Driftwood Beach where many of these mighty oak trees have fallen into the grasp of the surf. Through years of wind and storms, the sandy beach has eroded and at low tide, the beachcomber can enjoy the interesting shapes and textures of the large trees and branches that make up an eerie and photogenic landscape on the coastline. This trail leads into the beach from the coastal road and meaders through this interesting grove of foliage, beach grasses, and tall oaks and pine trees...
