Thanks for all of the comments. Here is the rest of the story ; the sun was setting quickly and the horses were at the other end of the pasture. They are trained to my whistle so I called them to come to me. I was lying on my back with the camera in a peddling motion, like a bicycle, to get their attention so I could get the photograph I wanted.
