Uploaded by: thunderweather — Saturday November 17, 2012 — San Jacinto Mountains, CA

There was bad weather up north, so I decided to go on an easy hike in the local mountains (Tauquitz Peak and Red Tahquitz via Devils slide trail, 13 mi, 3500ft gain). It was windy and stormy all day for the hike. It only cleared up once for about a 20 second period on the summit of Red Tauquitz to reveal this magnificent view. The views from Red Taquitz are my favorite in Socal. This special moment on the peak has led me to like it even more. This photo is NOT an HDR.
