has begun with our Wild Turkeys..amazing to watch these handsome 'dudes' perform for the hens..the brilliant early morning sunshine, on the equally brilliant deep snow cover, was a problem..alttle easier to snap them on the shady side of the property..and I had to take all these through the window glass..

The dudes look magnificent, but the hen looks unimpressed with their grandeur. Nice picture.

This is the winner, drumming as she walks by appearing not to notice these two plumed hunks flexing their feathers. ;)

These birds are so much better looking than the domestic ones. Very cool.

About suzi46
suzi46 Living in the mountains of Western Maine on a 15 acre 'gentleman's farm', in a hand hewn log home, has been a wonderful experience these past 6 1/2 years. The photo ops are virtually unlimited what with the surrounding working farms, dozens of lakes, ponds, and brooks, and thousands of acres of forest. Not to mention our own pond and brooks as well as extensive flower gardens, fruit bushes, vines, and trees. The views of Mt Washington and the Presidentials of NH only add to the drama! Not a bad place to be retired..and I am so glad I can share all of this with the wonderful folks on this great site..it has been a wonderful journey and learning experience thus far..and it's only getting better!
