From the looks of those windows, your snow came
in on a wind. I don't know why, but log houses
always look so inviting in Winter. Very beautiful,
Susan! Congratulations on your new Blue!

I hope you were inside sitting by the warm fireplace with a nice mug of flavorful hot tea in one hand and a Christmas cookie in the other.

Oh! My dream house with a dream winter storm! Just what I dream of in the winter! I think that I'll need to return to Maine in the winters and spend the summers here in Washington (where we have a Mediterranean climate from mid-July thru Sept.) Lovely shot! Merry Christmas!

Beautiful photo, Suzi! Your snow must have been driven in sideways on a high wind, huh? Love the angle you got this from! Congrats on a great AC and a good series!

@minnesota..yes! the wind was very strong during this Nor'easter..hence the camera angle..LOL..which was to avoid the snow hitting my lens..worked out well I think!!

Happy New Year! :)

About suzi46
suzi46 Living in the mountains of Western Maine on a 15 acre 'gentleman's farm', in a hand hewn log home, has been a wonderful experience these past 6 1/2 years. The photo ops are virtually unlimited what with the surrounding working farms, dozens of lakes, ponds, and brooks, and thousands of acres of forest. Not to mention our own pond and brooks as well as extensive flower gardens, fruit bushes, vines, and trees. The views of Mt Washington and the Presidentials of NH only add to the drama! Not a bad place to be retired..and I am so glad I can share all of this with the wonderful folks on this great site..it has been a wonderful journey and learning experience thus far..and it's only getting better!
