Near Krusevac, Serbia

Caption: The worst floods, which have hit the Balkans in more than a century, in Serbia (also in Bosnia and partly in Croatia) from wednesday have killed at least few dozen people, and there are fears that number could rise further as water recedes from deluged towns and cities. Tens of thousands are evacuated; many are without electricity, water, phone, even food… Torrential floods and landslides buried thousands of houses, also roads, bridges, planted fields, industry...

Snezana, we have heard & read about your floods, and send condolences for this hardship. It is hard to read that there has been loss if life. We hope you are OK. -- Betsy

I had read about this and it is so bad. I feel so sorry for everyone there, and in some places they need rain so badly, it seems it is like the old saying "it never rains but it pours" and it is either one extreme or the other. Take care. Arlene
