Short journey to the Mavrovo Lake- the largest artificially lake in Macedonia (FYROM), settled in the Mavrovo valley at an altitude of 1220 meter / 4000 feet, between very high mountains. It's part of the Mavrovo National Park, wonderful touristic and a winter sports center, located about one hundred kilometers away from the capital city Skopje, in the North West part of Macedonia. The last time I was there, a few years ago in mid-June, the mountain peaks still were under the snow...
