Cary, NC (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: A wren decided to build its nest inside, go figure, a decorative bird cage hanging from the porch well over a month ago. Now, we have hatchlings in the "cage," which I must mention does not restrict access in the least. Can't wait to see these little ones grow up!

Absolutely incredible!

We have a pair of swallows that nest in our alarm box near the eaves on our patio. Great little birds.

Wrens build nests in very creative places. I have one who is raising babies, for the third year, inside the light fixture on the ceiling of my porch.

What a sweet picture! Thank you for sharing.
Wrens are funny like that...in a basket or
whatever is on the porch. Sometimes they
abandon the nest or perhaps something hurts
the parent birds so they can't return to the
nest.

How exciting! That mommy bird has good taste, with the flower decorations and all!
