Between the deck and the home is a car that did not get any damage. But, as you see the home is not only upside down but moved 50 feet away from its foundation. No one was killed. This is in Horse Creek, TN.

That's crazy! Amazing that the tree(?) in the foreground is snapped off, the trailer flipped, the trees in back broken off, yet the utility pole is intact and even still has some wires up.

glad no one was killed.

Good example why it's best to evacuate mobile homes when you're told to get the heck out of town...

Sorry, about keeping your quote as a reply!!!

Sorry it took so long to reply to you.
The force of these tornadoes were unimaginable for our area. We not get tornadoes hit in this area due to our closeness to the mountains. The area is rebuilding but there were 124 houses totally destroyed so it is going to be hard times to our community for years to come. One never knows why some things hold up but trust me there were many, many utility poles that were sliced in pieces.

SO very sorry for all these troubles and heartaches. BUT, humans are so resilient and with great hope and spirit can always start anew. Good luck!

About rivertramper
rivertramper I live and manage 52 acres of land in beautiful NE TN just outside of downtown Erwin, TN. The cities you might recognize near me are Asheville, NC about 50 miles away. And Johnson City, TN which is about 18 miles away. As you will see from my pictures this area is absolutely beautiful and abounds with wild animals and scenic by nature. This land sits in a valley and is protected by the forces of nature. I also have Organic Brain Damage so I have taken to sharing my views of part of Erwin, TN via camera for I hardly get around by myself these days for my pain is strong and my memory weak along with so many other issues due to the disease itself. So, wunderland keeps me going on my land and the camera helps me share this area with you. Enjoy!
