Are they good? Silly question, I guess---they *must* be if that many people are out digging them! :) Dug up a bucketfull of geoducks up in the San Juans one time but just before we were going to cook & eat them somebody reminded us to check the red tide charts---sure was a good thing! The area where we'd dug them was loaded with it! Whew! Close call.
This is a great photo---glad you posted it! Kathy

About osdianna

osdianna

Born Oceanside, Ca. (Camp Pendelton actually, Navy hospital on the Marine base)in 1945. Lived all my life in California until 1998 when my dad dies and I moved to the Pacific NW to be closer to my ailing mother. I liked it so much I stayed, couldn't afford to go back anyway. I love it here but I miss real dirt (I have lots of sand), my roses, and the heat required to grow tomatoes. I walk the beach every day, rain or shine...well most days...with my trusty yellow lab Maggie.Favorite Quote: There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. I am a birder, a Master Gardener, and a volunteer. Life is good.
