Thanks everyone! It certainly was beautiful to watch. As to your question, they hardly ever come ashore. However I remember some years back that a more powerful one did come ashore but it was bigger than this one. It had strong winds enough to pick up lumber and toss it about, over 100 feet but nothing as powerful as a tornado and I'm guessing the power it had on the sea it lost it once it hit the land. They surely are an awesome work of nature!!
