Man, just *how many* of them are there???

There's one (the Alamo, its real name) in Cooper Square in NYC, right where I went to school.

Sheezbop, you'll be glad to hear that the UM Plant folks changed the bearings this spring and it's spinning better than ever. Clabo, I had no idea Endover had a twin, that's freaky!

Yep, and we used to spin it around, too! :D

Watch, they'll probably find another one buried on the moon, and another one in orbit around Jupiter. :D

Very interesting objects (both cube in the foreground and the moving person with the umbrella in the background) and weather conditions very well captured!
Congratulate on the AC!

Great photo. I did a bit of research and found this article about both the Ann Arbor and the NYC cubes. Link

Lilastone, thanks for the link. Sadly, the artist Tony Rosenthal died last July aged 94. It was amusing to read about the pranks. Ann Arbor's cube is decorated most April firsts. It's popular year-round with kids of all ages. It's so well balanced that a small child can turn it.

This is a really interesting shot and the comments from some of the folks have made it even more so.

Aside from that, it is a wonderful weather shot.

Congratulations on the AC!

About nickwuaa
nickwuaa I've lived in Ann Arbor for many years. I walk the dogs most days and often carry my camera. It's a little Canon and easy to take along. It's amazing how often there's a photograph waiting to be taken. I've enjoyed the pictures on WU for some time, and thought it was time to contribute a few. Your photography inspired me to share.Nick
