ventress, LA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I went out early looking for Mr. Fox. I found newly dug fox holes so knew he had been around last night. I took this shot of the hay bales 'cause I liked the way the sun was giving them an ethereal look with the fog. Not until I made a pot of coffee to warm my hands and soul and downloaded all my shots onto my laptop did I notice those tell-tale ears sticking up! Mr. Fox had been watching me the whole morning from on top the frosty hay bales! What a treat to find him looking at me!

What a cool photo and story! We've had foxes around our yard for four years now; mom brings the kits every year. Be patient with them, don't move real fast, leave little tidbits out for them and watch in the early morning and early evening. Foxes love to sit on things so they can look at what's happening...this spring mom and a kit sat on top of our picnic table! They are wonderful creatures and you can get them so they trust you and come around often..it's our delight every day! Have fun! kayakgirl

Oh wow this is beautiful! You can't get enough compliments for this wonderful photo!

Works well for both you and the fox, no doubt there are voles and mice a-plenty among the bales, and his presence really makes this photo MOST magical! (he trusts you... you are part of his morning...)

Wow, Minou. What a great photo. I LOVE surprises like this when you get it up on the monitor and have taken a pic of something you didn't even know was there. This is all 'round
just a great image with the fog and that little elusive fox peering at you in the mist.
Congrats on your AC.

Whoa! That is terrifically cool Minou! I love fog shots but to also have a fox in it, that is the icing on the cake. (BTW, our mountain cabin is called Fox Hollow for the foxes that have been spotted up there!) Great job!
