I have seen that X many times .. that great X in the sky is there so that satellites can guide the tankers that are spraying to the correct coordinates .. apparently to slow down the rising temperatures of the planet, atomized aluminum and barium are being sprayed at altitude to block the rays of the sun from reaching the crust of the earth..

I would whole-heavy-heartedly have to agree with Harwar.. the trails can be seen dispersing in the photo... excellent capture!

Well, I never thought the X was for that reason, just thought it was a giant game of noughts and crosses...... ;)

About milnei
milnei I live in Buckingham UK, and I love scenery and weather related photos. I love to see weather photos from around the world, especially hot and sunny ones when it's cold and rainy here (as it often is!). I hope you enjoy my little window into central England's weather.... I am 38 years old and I currently work for Jaguar Land Rover as an Application Engineer.
