Shot this Geminid meteor early this morning in Bartlesville Oklahoma. Tonight is supposed to be the peak of the shower. Last night was pretty spectacular. Could be a real treat tonight.

Both look like winners to me, Mike! You and another Mike (polymorph) look like you have similar interests and capabilities. Good meteor hunting for both of you!

Sitting here at the Burger King in Bartlesville eating lunch. Very nicely done. Ever noticed how Earth rolls through these debris fields each year after midnight? My birthday falls on the peak each year and i never stay out long enough. Might pull out the Canon tonight and try a long time exposure or two out on the shore of Grand Lake. 15 seconds at ISO 800; not bad at all.

About mbryan777
mbryan777 Hello. My name is Mike. I moved from a very large city in California to a small city in northeastern Oklahoma, USA. I am enjoying the slower lifestyle in Oklahoma and taking pictures of flowers, sunsets, sunrises, clouds, storms insects and hills. I have an engineering degree, but I minored in Biology so I really enjoy studying nature and how God engineered it. I've always loved photography but digital macro photography and weather photography are my favorites. Slowing down to study the small things, like flowers, has continually reminded me that God gives us many blessings that are simply for our pleasure and He is the designer of beauty.
